A little about us...
We moved to Gragnola in 2004 having decided to leave the hustle and bustle of London and go in search of La Dolce Vita.
Paul from London and Áine from Galway (Ireland) met when Áine moved to London and joined Frank Russell Company where Paul was a computer consultant.
Seven years later we set up our own computer consultancy. Working for ourselves there was no time for proper holidays - only weekend breaks - mostly spent in Italy. We always enjoyed our visits to Italy and thought it would be wonderful to spend more time here. That was when we decided to look for a property suitable for B&B
We fell in love with this house on the first viewing. Known locally as Palazzo Agostini (the family who owned it until just after the war) we renamed it Palazzo Marmi in honour of our cat Marmalade (affectionately know as Marmi) who sadly could not join us in Italy. There was a pattern here as our business in London had been called Blue-Chip Computer Solutions after our other two cats, Blue and Chip.
The palazzo had been unoccupied for over 40 years so there was a lot of work to be done. We have been devotedly restoring and renovating it over the last few years and now we look forward to welcoming you to our home and hope you will enjoy discovering Lunigiana.
